Camp Daybreak programming for 2025 will be held from Tuesday, August 19th through Thursday, August 21st.

As you can imagine, a large camper and staff population can offer a number of dietary restrictions. With notice well in advance of the camp session we can assure that your child’s dietary needs are accounted for. However, it is helpful if you can provide a list of your child’s favorite foods and their recipes. Additionally, any specialized or hard to find product may need to be provided.

It is not uncommon for campers to experience home sickness and ask to call home. Rather than support campers in calling home, we ask that they access the supports that are available at camp. We strongly encourage campers to write postcards and letters home or advocate for activities that will make them more comfortable.
 
Accessing supports at camp has been shown to build strong and supportive friendships among campers and staff, making the experience that much more powerful.
 
Parents and guardians are always welcome to contact the Camp Daybreak Director during the session for updates.

In the mornings, campers rotate through activity stations that include rec., arts and crafts, nature and swimming. At each station campers participate in group activities that focus on instruction and collaborative play.
 
In the afternoons, campers can choose to participate in any of the experiences that Camp Daybreak has to offer.

Camper applications can be filled out by families, guardians, educators and support providers. In an effort to best support our campers we do ask that this process is collaborative and that the application is as detailed as possible.
 

Camp Daybreak is offered with no charge to campers and their families.

Yes. Camp Daybreak is designed to support children between the ages of 8 and 11 years old. However, if the applicant’s age is just outside of that range we would strongly encourage you to apply anyway. Although applicants who do meet the age requirements receive priority, there is a strong possibility that your applicant would be considered and pulled from the waiting list.
 

The Camp Daybreak waiting list identifies priority based on need.
 
For example, if a camper applies early but has already attended Camp Daybreak, an applicant who has yet to have the Camp Daybreak experience would have priority. The same is true for those who do not meet the age requirements versus those who do.
 
Anyone who fills out a Camp Daybreak application is eligible to be put on the waiting list.

Absolutely! However, we can only accommodate so many campers and tend to give priority to those who have yet to have the Camp Daybreak experience. We do have a waiting list and, in the event of a spot being open, we access applicants from that list.
 

In 2025, a year of rebuilding for Camp Daybreak, we will unfortunately have limited availability and will only be accepting a maximum of 10 campers. If you do not secure one of these spots, we do have a waiting list.
