Camp Daybreak 2025 will be held from Monday, August 18th through Thursday, August 21st.

Yes. We ask that our volunteers and staff be a minimum of 16 years old to attend Camp Daybreak. Applicants who do not meet the age requirement but show a high level of experience, motivation and maturity may still apply.
 

In 2025, Camp Daybreak will be running a modified program with significantly less participants. Typically, Camp Daybreak and its facilities are able to support 65 volunteers. These volunteers include 40 “Big Siblings” who are charged with supporting one of our 40 campers and 20 counselors who are available to support both our Big Siblings and campers. Counselors are typically returning staff who have at least 3 years of experience. If, for whatever reason, you are unable to secure one of those 65 volunteer positions we do have a waiting list.

Yes, however, the application process for returning volunteers is much less rigorous. Your participation in the application process not only informs us of your interest but helps us to further consider the intent of the Camp Daybreak experience.

Volunteers who also are meeting community service requirements may use Camp Daybreak to meet those requirements. At the completion of the camp session, if all aspects of the position have been met to satisfaction, volunteers will have earned 168 community service hours. Any documentation must be provided prior to the start of the camp session.

Anyone who applies to be a camper or volunteer and is unable to secure a spot for our upcoming session is put on the waiting list. We access the waiting list in the event of a spot becoming available. If this were to occur, you would be contacted by Camp Daybreak. In the past, spots have become available as late as mid-session.
